Trillium designed a new "green" house for us that was completed in 2010. We are so thrilled with how it came out. Just beautiful, functional, comfortable, and very environmental (like all their work!). And they are such nice people to work with--we feel like we are part of the family.

I was impressed with the work fom Trillium Architects since before I ever owned a house. I had been looking for houses in CT when I lived in Florida and fell in love with an LEED home that had been recently sold. I liked it so much that I called the real estate agent to ask if she knew who had the previous owners used as an architect, and got the name for Trillium architects. I spoke with Elizabeth, the main architect, and instantly loved her. She was honest, knowledgeable and approachable. I told her I wanted an energy efficient home but thought I could not afford it. She gave me averages per square feet that were not higher (and indeed lower) than other non-energy-efficient homes. I then met Elizabeth during One of my trips to Connecticut and she showed me a few of her works in progress. Two years later I bought a home and called Trillium to help me renovate it. They were amazing about the process! . They were knowledgeable and had great attention to detail. They were completely flexible and the way we wanted to do it. At the end, I love my house thanks to Trillium!

As an insulation contractor who worked on many of Trillium's projects, we've always found Elizabeth and her team a pleasure to work with. Her blueprints were detailed and her plan to tackle the thermal envelope is always thoughtful with a focus on practicality, longevity with a touch of uniqueness. It's clear that Trillium takes great pride in their work and goes the extra mile to ensure that not only her clients, but also the contractor and subcontractors working on her project have a clear and effective vision to work off with. We chose Trillium for extensive renovations and are thrilled with the transformation to a 'beach house modern' home that maximizes the beauty of our waterfront property. We wanted to add a master bedroom suite on a new half-floor on our house, which posed a challenging design issue in terms of where to put the new staircase in our open-plan living room. We are absolutely thrilled with the plan Trillium helped us design. Then they went the extra mile(s) to help us navigate the municipal approval process when there was initial push-back from Zoning, who did not know how to negotiate the mid-century modern design of the house. So grateful to have had the Trillium team take the lead in that whole process.
