Robert McNearney Custom Homes built us a beautiful two story home in 2020 on a lot in Lakeville, MN overlooking a beautiful wetland. Robert (or Bob as he tells his customers to call him) always answered every time we called him throughout the build or would respond within a very short period of time. No receptionist, no waiting line music, the builder himself answered our questions. This was huge for us. We built this home with our two year old son and then had our beautiful daughter here too. We will build memories in this house for years to come. Bob and his team never wavered and always followed through for us. We’d be lying if we didn’t tell you we were very picky (which anyone should be when making a major purchase like a new home). We have asked for things to be adjusted or touched up but they always did what we asked or went above and beyond. Our home was built just how we wanted and we love it. We have been living here for a couple of years now and are very happy. Bob and us still talk and he still helps us with things on occasion.

Robert McNearney Custom Homes made building a home as easy as possible. Each step of the way, Bob and his staff were ready to help and keep us informed.
McNearny Homes designed and built our home on budget and on time. They worked directly with our bank to ensure the project was consistently within budget. Bob kept in regular contact with both us and the sub-contractors we worked with (interior design, carpentry, plumbing, electrical…). Staff always answered the phone and were ready and willing to address any questions or concerns. Everyone was responsive and professional.
We would happily recommend McNearny Homes to anyone who was looking to build.

I did not execute building my home with McNearney but would not recommend this builder to anyone trying to get things done efficiently or on budget. I went into the situation with a set budget (a high one IMO) and was told my vision would be no problem to execute within budget. Communication between the McNearney team was faulty at best. To the point where I had worked with their suggested architect to develop a plan (and pay for it) before being Informed the land my potential house would sit on, was promised to someone else. After nearly $3k to the architect, 10 hours of in person meeting time, and 6 weeks of wasted time, our 2800 sq. ft rambler bid came in $110k over budget which included shortcuts such as concrete floors in the home and no lighting. If there’s anything I get upset about, it’s wasting my time and wasting my money. My advice to the team would be to get on the same page, and to understand that no one wants to spend weeks on a project that has a clear dead end.

Bob did a tear-down rebuild of our lakefront house in 2014. I would do it all over again with Bob in a heart beat. The quality was great- he and his team took such pride in everything they did, offered advice and ideas to improve our plans. Bob always made things right for us. 6 years out we are still thrilled with our house and the quality. Thank you!

Would not recommend builder. The house is beautiful but that’s it. Everything is poor quality and poor craftsmanship. The longer we live here the more shortcuts they took that we find. No idea how our home based inspection. Instant regret cannot wait to sell this house.
