We recently retired to our property in Spicewood and planned to build our first custom forever home. We worked with an architect and did plans before choosing a builder. We sent out a bid package with plans and interviewed all builders. Ben with Riverbend submitted a bid package and we were impressed with his spreadsheet of possible substitutions that would save us money. We could also tell right away that he would be easy to work with. He started the build process at the end of May 2020 and we moved in December 11, 2020. Riverbend Homes uses top notch, professional subcontractors that were great to work with. Ben and Blake were great communicators, understood my need as a visual person when asking what we wanted and worked hard to get us in before Christmas; even with some delays with Covid. We had a few warranty issues that he quickly scheduled with manufactures to correct. I would recommend Riverbend Homes if you are looking for a builder.

This was our 3rd new build and first custom home so we had a good amount of knowledge of the home building process. We had already purchased our land and knew this would be in the budget range of a luxury custom home. We checked with a couple of high end and well known builders in the Lake Travis area and had become quite a bit deflated with what we were being told. We found Ben and Riverbend Homes while touring a home he had just completed in the neighborhood where we bought our land. From our first discussion, Ben was aligned with our vision and told us that what others said was not possible would be possible. We were able to work with his partner architect; Hobbs Inc, and they created a floor plan that was exactly what we had dreamed of. All through the building process Ben was able to stay on budget with only the exception of things we planned to upgrade from the initial contract. This was minimal for a home in this price range, which is not at all what other people we know have experienced. He frequently found ways to save us money on our selections. The end product is as well done, if not better, than the other high end builders in the area. This was verified by friends that have also done custom builds with builders featured in recent Parade of Homes. We highly recommend Riverbend Homes. Ben will give you a high end product and generous allowances for choices at a fair price. He will keep you on budget and on time with no surprises. He will also allow you to shop around on your own for money saving deals, which others builders will not allow. We are delighted more than words can describe with our new custom home!

Your biggest investment & your grandest adventure.
After so many have said how horrible and stressful the building of a home can be it was great having it turn out to be both a fun & enjoyable venture as well as a 100% successful result.
Riverbend Homes and specifically Ben were outstanding from help for acquiring the lot and working with the architect to every aspect of the build.
For me there were four critical parts to this build:
1. contractor expertise & execution, Riverbend only used contractors of the utmost skill and craftsmanship that took great pride in their work and it shows in every aspect of our home. 2. scheduling & communications, Ben was always available for questions and thoughts and provided timely feedback, status, and forecasting of all the activities. 3. concept to reality adjustment, blueprints and detailed plans are great but then reality ( the actual lot, the actual floor plan, the actual finish out, the choices and materials, all the millions of details) hits as building commences. Ben always had the right suggestion and the right answers to my questions along with a willingness to tweak the project as needed or desired. 4. the end result, an unbelievable home that exceeded our expectations in every way in every aspect while being a very enjoyable adventure.
Trusting your builder, their ethics, their skills, their decision making and their execution is quite the luxury that Riverbend provided and it was much appreciated!
