As a chronic relapser that has been in and out of multiple different treatment centers since 2011, I can easily say Mile High Sober Living has been the most helpful in my early recovery! About 18 months ago I moved into Mile High sober Living desperate to get sober and back on my feet. Being newly sober was uncomfortable, but the staff at the office and the houses were friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and always willing to give me the support I needed at the time. After acouple months of going through their IOP program, taking their advice and working the 12 steps, and having the support of a great sober network, I noticed my life was already significantly better than before. After graduating from Mile High treatment they offer great Alumni opportunities, and fun events to stay connected. I am incredibly happy with my experience at Mile High, and would absolutely recommend it to someone who is willing to put in the work!

Moving into Mile High Sober Living after I left inpatient treatment was the best decision I made for my recovery. I moved out almost two years ago but I am still connected to the community and that has everything to do with the effort and care they put into making sure their residents feel comfortable and safe. I got the opportunity to play sports, meet other people in the sober community in Denver, and learned a lot of really important life skills while living in the house. I cannot recommend Mile High enough for anyone who is serious about living a life of recovery.

Mile high sober living saved my life and I will always be grateful for them. One of the things about Mile High is that everyone truly cares about you from the owner to the house managers. I came from a different state not knowing anyone and I found friends for life. This is a real family community. I would recommend to anyone that is trying to get sober.

I was about to give up. Rehabs, treatment centers, therapies, meetings, sober living...you name it, I've tried it and failed every time. I was at the end of my rope until I found Mile High Sober Living. I entered a new world where I found a new strength in myself. I was immediately part of the Mile High family; surrounded by support, a welcoming and encouraging community, people who I now consider dear friends showing me kindness and love, and a power beyond belief that I could get sober and actually want to stay sober. Mile High Sober Living is uncanny to any other program I have experienced. Amazing living, massive meeting varieties, sober events, sports leagues, and all the things in between that helped guide me to my road of recovery and a life that I thought was out of reach. The staff have lived the life of an addict and/or an alcoholic, understanding each person with deeper insight. These people work 24/7 to help maintain sobriety while reintroducing you to your new self and the magic of living. Mile High Sober Living is the foundation of my sobriety, the muscle that kept me standing and fighting forward...this program saved my life. If you or someone you know is at the end of their rope, don't give up! Let Mile High Sober Living help you find your way, you will be (like I am) eternally thankful!

Mile High Sober Living saved my life! When I moved into one of the homes in February 2019, I still wanted to drink every day after having struggled to stay sober for the last few years, hitting every bottom imaginable. Thanks to the staff and the balance of structure (meeting and program requirements) and independence (I was able to go places on my own, find a job, etc.), I lived in this safe & supportive home for ~6 months while figuring out what sobriety looked like for me and how to live in the real world without drinking.

What makes Mile High different from other sober livings and treatment centers is the community. I was surrounded by people with the same struggles who were supporting each other. Mile High held me accountable for several months until I reached a place where I wanted to stay sober more than I wanted to drink. A 28 day rehab never worked on it's own for me. 6+ months of treatment also never worked for me. I needed responsibility & accountability... but also more of a real-life environment as opposed to treatment centers, which were heavily structured and very much a 'bubble'. I'd get out of treatment, see a liquor store for the first time in a month and walk straight in. I had no foundation or safe place to practice using the tools that were preached to me.

If you are struggling for recovery and sobriety to 'stick', but you want to be sober and are aware your using is not working anymore - this is a great place to start. Give yourself the best chance at sobriety by living (for at least a few months) in a safe home with other people who are sober. You will learn from these people and build a solid foundation for a life in the 'real world' and long-term recovery. Even though I no longer live in MHSL, I will always think of the Mile High community as family and my home. I would recommend MHSL to anyone struggling with substance use disorder.

This review comes from a parent’s perspective...I cannot say enough good things about Mile High! They have given us our son back! Not being able to help your child when they are suffering from the disease of addiction is the most awful, devastating, helpless, hopeless feeling that a parent can ever experience. Mile High has given him the structure, accountability, and community that he so needed. They have given him the tools he needs to live one day at a time and to experience what a clean sober life can be. They have given him the hope and purpose he didn’t have before.
He has been very involved in their sports activities and has gained new friendships! He has become involved in their Continuing Care program as well.
He no longer lives only in the moment, he looks ahead and sees a bright future!
From Brice and Jill, and also Tony and Scott... we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
