"Completely Reliable" is how I rate Hi-Mark Industrial Sales. Over the past 6 years I have placed close to 1,000 orders with Hi-Mark and have never been left wondering when my order was going to be delivered. In cases where there have been delays I have continually be kept informed of the reasons before I have had to ask.

Customer Service is not some Job Title at Hi-Mark it seems that it is what they do best.

I highly recommend them.

Mark was a decent person when I spoke to him on the phone during my initial quote request, and he provided me a reasonable price for the material I was looking for. Although his quote was very close in price to several other quotes I had received from local vendors, Mark's quote included a $125 delivery fee. I completely understand that he could not wave the delivery charge because his manufacturer is out of town. But I could avoid the additional cost by making my purchase from someone local and picking it up myself. I shared that information with Mark via an email and wished him well.

After doing some more research, I found another material that I felt would work better for my application than what I had Mark originally quote. I figured I would reach out to Mark again and ask him to quote this new material for me. I thought that maybe if the new quote was lower because my new selection was a lighter duty belt, that I could handle the delivery charge and make the purchase from Mark.

I wanted to go back to Mark after his initial quote because I felt that he was someone I could trust and build a relationship with for future orders. Unfortunately, he responded to my second quote request with the message "I'll pass. No quote". I can only assume Mark must have been upset that I did not purchase from him the first time around, and that his feelings were hurt by me when I shared information about local vendor prices? Or I guess I could just assume that Mark is a Jerk and a crybaby? Probably a little of both. But I do not know for sure why Mark replied to me this way, because he does not know how to use his words to explain himself. And it appears Mark lacks any and all sales skills that may have persuaded me to buy from him and not someone else. His decision, not mine.

In thinking about it more after receiving his refusal email, I remembered that while I spoke with him on the phone, he seemed very laid back. I originally took this as a level of comfort with his abilities, but now see it much more clearly as just careless and unprofessional. I hope that Mark takes this review seriously and begins to offer the service that people expect from someone they are planing on giving their money too. Or not?
