I had my 300wsm browning, A-bolt upgraded to a 26 inch barrel with a muzzle brake, along with a barrel fluted for weight reduction. It’s easily able to stack bullets at 100 yards next week when the weather warms up out to a long distant range to verify 400, 500, and 600 yards. Definitely happy with the work that has been done and would recommend it to anybody.

I was having accuracy issues with a custom Remington 700 style rifle I built. This was for a 300 PRC with PROOF carbon fiber barrel. PROOF inspected it and could only say the barrel was fine; they suggested I take it to a gunsmith for more work and gave some recommendations for possible areas of concern. Rich took a look, quickly identified the problem and which of PROOF's recommendations were bunk. I got my rifle back quickly and at a great price. Zeroed it and instantly received consistent groups of less than 1/2 MOA. Thanks for making this problem rifle a pleasure to shoot.

I've taken a few of my rifles to HTC for repairs and Rich has delivered above and beyond. Most recently, I bought a new barrel from HTC and had Rich chamber it in a wildcat round. The barrel and chamber look superb through my borescope. I'm in the process of barrel-break-in so am not certain of the accuracy yet, but I am confident it's going to be a shooter! Thanks Rich for my 7mm-300 Win!!!

I've heard the quality is good, and if I ever get my piece back maybe I'll find out.

It's been a quarter of a year, and I haven't gotten my piece back from work that should have taken less than an hour.

Nobody answers the phone. Nobody returns calls. And apparently they go home early in addition to being closed on the weekends. I'm sure it's a great place - if you don't work and have a year to get jobs done. Otherwise look elsewhere.

Rich did fast work at a reasonable price. He fixed a feeding problem in my Remington 700 and a magazine problem in my 10/22. He explained to me exactly what was wrong and how to avoid the problem in the future. He shared a lot of other knowledge and has some beautiful custom rifles! Thank you sir!

I took my model 70 to two other gunsmiths in South Colorado Springs to have the safety repaired. They couldn't make the repair. I went to Rich and he fixed it and returned it ahead of the time frame for a fair price. It works great. I absolutely recommend Rich for any rifle repair you may need. Thanks

I'm so happy with how my 308 treats me after my muzzle break was put on. They are so amazing at this shop!! My husband already wants to put a muzzle break on his 3006. The BEST decision I have ever made was having High Tech custom install this for me. I can actually shoot my rifle now more then once. Lol! Highly recommend this shop. Won a muzzle brake at a charity auction for Boy Scouts of America. I had always been curious about muzzle brakes, but having fired other rifles with brakes mounted didn't think they would be worth the money. Boy was I wrong. High Tech Customs took my .300 Win Mag and made it into a pleasure to shoot. Customer service was amazing with a quick return and the brake flat out worked! My lightweight Browning use to punish me, but now I can shoot it all day long with no sore shoulder and no flinch. My buddies were sighting in their .30-06's and .308's and were jealous after shooting my 300 because my rifle had so much less recoil than theirs. My 14 year old is happy now he can shoot the Win Mag with ease. High Tech Custom's brake does exactly what they say it will do. Now I'm just saving up for 2 more, I don't think I'll ever own a hunting rifle without a High Tech Custom brake.
