Extensive selection of high performance skis for both men and women (not all shops carry as much for women as men) so appreciate that immensely as a female skier. Overall good and honest guys here!! Great pricing also in comparison to other shops in the general NJ/NYC area. Tom was super patient and honest with me when selecting skis and hearing my needs as he is fully aware they’re an investment. Went far and beyond to even calculate me a pricing breakdown. Tom is super knowledgeable and informed on modern skis and available products in stock as he demo’s the new stuff himself! No frills, an all in one stop and shop. I’d run, not walk! Gained a customer for life.

You can't really ask for much better than the experience I had tonight. Going snowboarding tomorrow for the first time in a while and needed some boots. I walked in and immediately was greeted by James. Asked about certain boots that I had seen reviews for. He informed me what was good about them, help size me up properly. Turns out I was wrong about my size and he was able to find me a boot that was cheaper than the one I inquired about and fit my wants better. He was so extremely knowledgeable down to every last detail and could answer every trivial question. Buying a board was not even on my mind when walking in but the hospitality he offered and knowledge he has made me curious what else I needed, and I ended up walking out with a beautiful never summer board and bindings. He cared so much about my experience and making sure everything was perfect and all my questions were answered. I work in sales and have never dealt with someone who has honed their craft more precisely. This is the soul that a lot of small businesses forget about now adays. After one experience at this business 30 minutes before closing I have made a purchase that I didn't think I would make for 2 years, become a lifetime customer, and will be telling everyone I know about this shop. Just got my new snowboard boots from High Country Ski and the service is fantastic. We worked with James in the boot department for a boot fitting and he walked us through the brands and brought out options that would work in my size. He was super knowledgeable and asked me questions to consider the fit and feel of the boot. Highly recommend coming here for your gear or just to even learn more about new brands and products. Great shop.

We have rented our skis here for many years and always had a great experience. We decided to invest in owning our own equipment for our daughter and Tom was fantastic. He helped her with an extensive boot fit and then choosing skis. He spent a long time making sure everything was perfect. Couldn’t recommend him and High Country more.

I stopped in High Country for their semi annual sale. A friendly sales associate named Max was a tremendous help in answering all my questions about various products and prices. He helped me pick out my new ski equipment for the season as well as direct me to some nice last season deals that they had. 5/5 to both High Country and their employees, especially Max!

I can’t say enough great things about High Country Ski and Tennis! James, our snowboard salesman, was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire process smooth and comfortable. As an experienced rider, his passion for snowboarding shined through as he expertly matched my son with the perfect board and bindings within our budget. It was a breeze working with him! Plus, Bill, the owner, is fantastic—he helped me with tennis gear years ago and is always so helpful. Highly recommend this locally-owned gem for top-tier service!
