This RV sales company is a fraud, we deposited $2,500 on a Winnabago RV and Jonathan Steve claimed that he was processing the deal and that he was selling it for his inlaws. Weeks went by with back and forth about paperwork and nothing was ever completed on his end. Jonathan Steve is, as we discoverd, a professional scam artist!

FRAUD ALERT

Do not do business with this company or any of its associates. Purchased a vehicle from Jonathan at High Country RV and Auto Sales in March 2021. I have yet to receive my title, registration, or license plates. At first Jonathan was answering my calls and texts saying that he personally went down and re-filed my paperwork. The DOL does not even have pending paperwork on file (this is now June 2021). I have since realized that everything we were told was a lie and we have been scammed.

The temp plates Jonathan put in my vehicle are fraudulent. I didn't realize this until they expired and Jonathan mailed me "new ones". (He just photocopied a real one and keeps re-filling out his own expiration dates. Jonathan seemed to be a nice guy during the transaction (found out later that almost everything he said and did was a lie), then lied to me multiple times afterward by pretending to follow up with the situation and saying that it was taken care of. According to the DOL investigator working with me the temp plates are a photocopy of another dealership's temporary plates.)

I have now been dealing with the WA DOL Dealer Investigations unit. If you have also been scammed by this "business" please file a complaint with that office so we can hopefully prevent others from being scammed as well. The investigator working with me said that this "business" and all its associates are well known by the government as being fraudulent and run by con artists for MANY years.

It is now the end of June and there has been no resolution. I am driving and insuring a vehicle that I have paid for in full yet do not have the title or registration/plates. Every 15 days I go to the department of licensing and PAY for new temporary 15 day plates... then repeat the process so I can legally drive my vehicle.

This has been an absolute nightmare, please save yourself from this experience and do not attempt to purchase a vehicle or anything else from High Country RV and Auto Sales or any associates.

Went to High Country Rv and Auto Sales on January 31, 2021. They were just opening, did not have a landline at the time. I was looking at an older BMW I believe a 2009. They wanted 11,000 for the car was told by a Matthew S. and Aaron L. to put down a 1000.00 REFUNDABLE deposit on this vehicle. I told them I would do my resource and let them know if I wanted the car by the next morning. Long story short they kept my 1000.00. Still fighting to get my money back. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I did not know at the time Aaron L. who was present at the timewas the owner. He even turned his burner phone off until recently turned it back on, but still not answering. Crooks Crooks Crooks. Stay away from this car dealership...They get ZERO STARS BUT I HAD TO CLICK 1 STAR FOR THIS TO POST....

We were scammed by Jonathan Steve. We bought our RV March 2023. Today we got our title after we drove around to all of his fake addresses. We finally found him. We want everyone to know where he lives. 10633 187th Ave Puyallup WA. Go get your titles!!!

Bought a truck through Jonathan with High Country RV and Auto sales. It has been 50 days since the sale of the vehicle and I still don't have a title, license, or even a temporary plate to drive the, or park, the vehicle on public streets. I am currently trying to recoup my fees from the business through Pierce county courts.

We sold our RV to this man. He lied to us, he made it sound like it was for his family and he had sick children and was wanting to travel in a safe way so his family was protected from Covid, repeatedly said may God bless you (red flag) hustled us down on price after we just had the entire front end done and shame on him. Jonathan Steve you are without a doubt a crook and I would not recommend anyone to do business with you or your company. I hope that you treat people with honesty in the future. But I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Read comments before you do business with Steve. He is nice until you pay - after that he'll block your phone. In my case he promised: car is running fine, has books, documents, toolkit, spare tire etc. (I bought the car over the internet without seeing it in person). Of course the car had a bad engine, blown head gasket, 2 bad cylinders, bad power steering, AC was removed, no books, no spare tire, no tools, no anything that can be removed and sold on Ebay. In addition there were problems with the title and he wouldn't help with the paperwork. At the end I have a parts car instead of an 'original unmolested car' as he promised.

We found a trailer we were interested in through Craigslist, and after a couple phone calls went to check it out. They were clear with us that there may be other interested parties, and it may sell quickly. About 2 hours later we arrived at their lot, and it was still there.
They were friendly and courteous, let us and our kids check EVERYTHING on the trailer, answered all questions, and then let us sit in the trailer for a solid 30 minutes while we made our decision. They are NOT a high pressure sales staff.
Purchase was straight forward, and we were able to schedule a time a week later to actually pick up the trailer.
Every missed phone call was returned promptly.
Our one problem: The way they answer the phones is confusing. They just say hello, so I’m not sure I’ve called the right place, and there is a super weird static noise when they first pick up the phone, so you don’t actually hear anyone say hello. They also have a generic voicemail message, so you’ve got to be sure you dialed correctly.
We really enjoyed working with High Country RV and Auto, and would do it again. It felt good to be supporting a smaller business.
