I went twice in one week...it was that good!! The food was amazing each time. The drinks on point. The eclectic ambiance might just be the key that molds this place into the perfect spot for date night or a friendly gathering. I look forward to my next visit.

If you're looking for exceptional food and an unmatched ambiance in Lancaster, Hifi Izakaya is the place to go. I've visited a few times now, and each experience leaves me more impressed. Every dish is crafted with care, from presentation to taste, and the same attention to quality extends to their cocktails. The staff’s passion for delivering a top-notch dining experience shines through in every detail. I believe they change their menu seasonally, but here’s a picture of the fish and crisps and tuna tataki. Don’t miss out on this Lancaster gem!

Hi-Fi Izakaya is tucked away behind Issei Noodle, at the back of the building that feels much larger inside than you'd expect. The lighting and music make the space feel cozy with an upscale vibe. The food and drinks are spectacular, and if you're someone who enjoys sake, the menu has many offerings. This is a must-visit restaurant!

My boyfriend and I came here for drinks and food.

First of all, it smells beyond amazing in here. Second of all, I enjoy the music. Third, and certainly not least, the food and drinks are to die for.

Karage Chicken - Extremely juicy and flavorful, and paired well with the garlic soy sauce.
Duck Fat Chazuke - Don't expect a lot of flavor out of this, but expect to want to eat it again every time you're feeling under the weather.
Editing this review - the chili dumplings are transcendent. I'm not able to live my life without them (not exaggerating).

Between the 2 of us, we tried a majority of the drinks. Our top 3 were:
Gen-Matcha Gimlet
Shoga-Nai
Haku Yama-Hai

A runner up for me was the Hellcat's hangover which came in a special glass.

An instant favorite and we'll be back. And I have been back several times.

After many recent visits, I felt compelled to leave my first google review ever about this wonderful place!

This will be divided into two parts:
First off, I once lived in Hawaii and when I left I lamented I would likely not be able to find a great spot to get Katsu near me in rural Pennsylvania. Izakaya (and Issei Noodle) has absolutely eliminated that worry and it’s become a weekly staple where the Katsu (and all the other food), drinks, music, and general vibes exceed my expectations every time.

Additionally the staff is excellent, and in particular I want to shout out Katlyn who’s been our server many times. She’s always very enthusiastic, has a great sense of humor, is super knowledgeable about the menu and makes great cocktails! Upon hearing my friend was a bit tired one evening she reappeared shortly after with a perfectly made latte that wasn’t even a menu offering? No idea how she does it! Bonus points for saving my entire family from that burning building one handed!!!

I wish the best to the Izakaya team. This is one of the best spots in Lancaster, Southeast PA in general, and I’ll definitely keep returning! ?

The food is phenomenal, the atmosphere is a perfect balance of fun but chill and the bar staff is amazingly talented. All the menu offerings (liquid and solid) are incredibly unique and crafted with very high attention to little details that make each one an experience. This is easily one of the best spots in lancaster or anywhere in central PA for that matter.

I love the atmosphere! It can get quite busy and they haven't opened up the hot pot yet, but going there for drinks is always great! They have someone spinning vinyls every night that I've been there. Definitely recommend!

I love what the owners have done since relocating Issei Noodle and 1 of their newest addition Hi-Fi Izakaya is perfect for an evening out!
A nice taste of Japan nightlife here in downtown Lancaster. They have a large selection of Japanese whiskey, Sake and Beer!
