Dropped my car off at 9:00 a.m. and I was quoted 2-3 hours for new tires to be mounted, balance and aligned. It took them over 7 hours, while calling me in to tell me they were struggling with the tie rod on the driver side. I told him I would go to my mechanic and come back for that tire to be aligned better. He replied that the alignment has a 1-year warranty and it won't be an issue. When driving home the steering wheel and car now completely pulls to the left, significantly worse the before. I will not be returning to this specific Firestone.

Update :
I went to my trusted mechanic and I had my driver side, inner and outer tie rod replaced. I went to another Firestone location in Kenwood and I was told that the warranty is a service warranty and not a warranty to get the job finished. I had to get the original store to call this location to honor the "warranty" they gave me. The employee here advise the original Firestone to not charge a customer for alignment if they didn't complete it. His response is he completed most of the work.

Do not go to this shitty Firestone location that does a half ass job and charge you full price for it and do not understand they warrant policies. Go to the Kenwood location, if you stick with Firestone.

I always receive an outstanding service at this Firestone. Chris, the manager is always so polite and has a great attention to detail on hearing the customer concerns.

I am really surprised by a few negative reviews, and while I understand and believe them, one should consider that MOST car service locations will quote you an optimal lead time. You should always factor in part delivery issues (outside of shop's control) as well as add about an hour to the quoted time for most repairs.

Keep in mind that the later in the day your appointment, the better for the delays to snowball as many clients show up late for their appointments. Try to get an appointment the first thing and show up 5-10mins early to give your estimate the best shot. If you show up late, they are not gonna hold a spot for you, your car will likely have to wait for a tech to finish the next job. I've had much longer wait times at doctors' offices than at this shop. Also, most repair shops, even dealerships will unfortunately have dirty bathrooms, so I take it as a fact of life. Not to excuse this shop but it's the nature of the beast. I would imagine these businesses operate on thin margins and having a full-time cleaner is probably prohibitive.

Back to the positives though - I always dealt with Chris and he has never let me down in providing an excellent customer service. Even for the warranty/road hazard repairs, and curtesy services (rotation, balancing, etc.), when your bill is $0, they still give you a great service and make you feel like a valuable customer.

You can tell they care when they properly torque all your lug nuts as well and not just impact wrench your wheels to the car as some shops will do. I recognize some of the technicians working there as well - low turnaround likely bodes well. Manager and the techs have a courteous relationship and it shows in the final work quality (Thank you for great work, Kenny!).

When I need a full set of tires on my vehicles, or some other repairs, I am sure this will be my shop of choice for the above reasons. They are a very low pressure/no pressure as well. They will inspect a vehicle and instantly email you a quote for suggested services, with zero pressure to perform them. Thank you, team!

urgently needed new tires and was able to get in immediately, store owner is very nice and accommodating. store itself has a great seating area and is very clean. definitely will be coming back and would recommend!

I went to the Firestone Auto in Newport today because my car had a flat tire, and I had a great experience! John was above and beyond helpful, and my car was fixed up in no time! As a young woman, it felt incredibly nice to get car help without being belittled or taking advantage of. I will continue to give my business here as it was professional, and quick! Dropped car off Friday for oil change and rotation and balance of tires, followed up Saturday they stated " your vehicle is next to go into bay" at noon. No call back that day. Followed up Sunday, "Stated done", picked it up not sure what was done. I believed oil change done but no rotation and balance of tires. Next day low tire pressure waning came on.

On the phone I was told they had the tire in stock. Great! I got to the store at about 8:15 AM or so. After they took off the flat tire, they couldn't find the tire they claimed they had in stock. I was told then they would get one delivered to the store ASAP and I'd still make my 11:30 AM appt. Nearly 3 hours later the tire finally shows up. When I finally left, having missed my appt, they had not reset the flat tire warning lights. And only filled the tire to 28 PSF (system recommended 33). Since I was in a hurry they said they'd email the invoice. They did not . I called later that day and asked again....still never sent. I had to drive back the next day and get them to print it out for me. Jeez.... However, I could tell the MGR was sympathetic and I did receive a 15% discount for missing my appt.
