I will preface this by writing that seldom I seldom write reviews. I reserve my review writing capacity for only the most exemplary service or in this case, the most egregious! I cannot stress enough through any channel other than writing how terrible my experience was at this place and I really did go out of my way to be patient and understanding. I have close friends who know Charlie the owner and I actually went to him on recommendation from those friends as they have all said how great of a guy he is and in fact, he may still be. Unfortunately however, I got stuck with Mike who apparently is one of his repairmen. Mike is an older gentleman who has absolutely zero people skills and lacks an overall ability to be thorough in explanation or general transparency. I had a hydraulic pump fail from a mini skid steer manufactured by Vermeer and after 1 week of not hearing anything, I called Eseco up to get an update. Mike had not even looked at the pump at this point which I understood with their busy schedule and appearance of much work in the shop. After 10 days, I called again and it was apparent that Mike still had not gotten to my pump but quickly disassembled it to get a visual on it and appease me. I went in to Eseco on the 11th day to look at the failed parts which Mike assured me could be replaced and so I left it at that. On the 16th day, I called again to get another status update and Mike told me that he was awaiting confirmation from the pump manufacturer to ensure that it could in fact be rebuilt but that I may indeed need to buy an entirely new assembly which was completely contradictory to his assured statement that it could in fact be rebuilt and mind you, any information he gives you, requires digging it out of him with constant questions as he has this uncanny habit of just blankly staring at you as if there's simply nothing left to discuss. I pressed him further if I could get some kind of a rough timeline on when I could expect any news at all good or bad to which he exclaimed "simply" no. On the 21st day, I called again asking if there was any news at all and he told me that the pump was the 1% of pumps that he could not rebuild so being satisfied with that answer as best I could, I went in to pick up the pump to send off to another company or simply just buy a new pump from Vermeer. Mike carried a drydene plastic bucket to my truck and left it there and as I walked out to load it up, I realized that the pump in the bucket was not my pump at all. I told him of the hiccup to which he surprisingly responded, that my pump was the "OTHER" pump that he didn't know if it could be fixed and was awaiting a return email. Naturally, I was very frustrated and once again, had to press him on what the next step was and confusingly, he said that he guessed he would have to call the company he had emailed or called originally so I nudged him to make that call. After he finished his phone call some 10 minutes later as I stood there mystified by his behavior, I called out to him since he had just gone back to work loading a hydraulic ram back into its cylinder not even cognisant of the fact that I was standing there waiting for an update as to the nature of his phone call, I asked "What Next?". He simply said I don't l know, their computer system went down and it may take a long time to come back up as he went back to work as if once again like I wasn't there. Another gentleman next to him was then forced to press him further to help me and it was at this point that I just asked if I could have my pump back. He got visibly irritated and all this time, I never raised my voice or gave any indication that I was upset with the service that I was given. I was cordial, collected and respectful to everyone but must say, no one in that place was of any help whatsoever and Charlie, the business owner would be best served to retrain this Mike character or tighten customer service up entirely. I'll never use this company and will never recommend that anyone else! Learn from my mistake and run as fast as you can from this place!!!
