I hired Edward because he had been the designer of a space in a building I acquired. That space was designed and built out with Edward but the seller and Edward claimed there were issues with zoning approving it. After buying the building and hiring Edward to work with the city to finish the recognition that the previous owner had begun; nothing progressed. I was told "things were moving forward" and "he was coming to an agreement with the city on final details."

He was stalling and wasting my money. Furthermore, he and the previous seller lied about the unit's condition. No permits were pulled for work and the unit is unfit for occupancy without massive renovation. He lied to me and took my money while delivering nothing.

At first, Edward seemed great. The promises made and his resume were impressive. Unfortunately, nothing I received after over $8,000 in fees, was more useful than a brainstorming session on Instagram. He has since refused to answer calls and emails.

His drawings and measurements had inaccuracies that cost myself and my GC thousands to correct. He designed a deck (and oversaw the footing placement himself) that could not be built without stairs running into footings and doorways. He sent electrical maps that didn't reflect discussed plans despite multiple meetings and providing color coded drawings of my own, nor did they follow logical mapping of switches. These were used by electricians and could only be partially corrected once the problems were discovered by me.

Overall, use Edward if you want to pay thousands of dollars for a Pinterest page, brainstorming based on rough specs on your house, and Power Point presentation built off of pictures pulled from the web and with no concept as to how they can be executed.

Edward drew the plans for our basement for us and we couldn't be happier. We live in SW Minneapolis and had a long list of what we needed to accomplish with limited space - laundry, mudroom, bedroom, bathroom, tv, play area... plus we wanted to maintain the character and feel of our 1920s bungalow but tempered with some contemporary elements. Edward absolutely nailed the design, there are 5 houses on our block that all have essentially the same footprint and our floorpan definitely makes the most sense! (don't tell the neighbors!)

He did a great job of listening to our preferences and goals and bringing us a layout that I never would thought of on my own. Whenever people walk into our space they always comment on how huge it feels. I feel so grateful that we got to work with him, without his help we would have out-grown this house in no time and now I truly feel like it's our forever home. Thank you Edward!

My wife and I have a very simple, classic 1950's rambler, we wanted to do an addition to the house, new garage space and refresh our kitchen. We picked ERE because we wanted something different and outside the box. We were so pleased with the attention to detail and the concept that ERE designed for us. Edward was available to answer any questions or concerns we had along the way. We have shared ERE with friends and co-workers.
