I’m new to the area. These small town hardware stores usually have outrageous pricing or a crappy selection. Ead’s has neither. Pretty much anything you need, they’ll have it at a competitive price. I was also pleasantly surprised that they carried a wide variety of lumber too.

Very disappointed with customer service at this place. I bought a $400 stihl chainsaw not long ago and have used it only twice. On the second time using this saw, I noticed my saw would not cut correctly. I continued to have a professional sharpen my chain and ensured my oil reservoir was full and saw was clean from debris. Chain continued to dull very quickly and I noticed the chain was not being lubricated correctly. After taking this saw for a second time to a professional to have it looked at, I was notified it was notorious for having oil issues since it had what stihl now makes as automatic non-adjustable oilers. After doing my own research, I found this to be a common complaint online for most newer stihl products. I returned to the store to see if there was anything that could have been done, such as a partial trade in or lose a bit of money and upgrade. When I had mentioned the part of this issue being a common thing, as I had found MANY people online having the same exact problem, the worker downplayed it by saying “well, I haven’t had any come back here”. I was told there was nothing that could be done, and I would have to buy yet another saw. One worker had mentioned to me that they don’t make any that can be adjusted, while another said they do but only in the bigger saws. After being honest about my research and conclusion that I was not the only one that have had these issues, the worker continued to downplay and discredit my honesty.

In stark contrast to big box hardware stores, and even most Ace Franchises, this locally-owned store's layout and inventory just makes sense. Hardware, small parts and materials are easy to find, and easier to find a suitable replacement item if what you thought you needed doesn't quite work. There's always at least one employee in the store that can give you advice or point you in the right direction.

Just wanted to share a review from a small business owner to another small business. Customer service is what this business is all about. They know how to make it work. They are very knowledgeable about everything they have in stock and they will take the time to help you find the right items you are looking for. AND, if they don’t have it in stock, they will special order it for you if they can. They literally have everything you can imagine! I go 20 miles out of my way when I have a lowes 7 miles away to do business with this hardware store. This type of business is a dying trend due to the big box stores. But the big box has nothing on the mom and pop stores!! Also, their small engine repair service is the best I’ve ever seen!!

Eads Hardware has never let me down. They always have what I need for whatever project in working on. Store is well stocked and they are always helpful and friendly. Not worth the drive to Lowe's while Eads Hardware is right here in Paris!

Came here for a carpet cleaner/upholstery cleaner & they were very nice. Decent prices & got me in and out fairly quickly. Return was super easy. Just dropped off at the front counter and left.
