We met Brad through our contractor, Damian Amodeo, and have been very happy with his work, professionalism and exquisite taste in design. He has had several great ideas and thoughts a long the way that have made our project one that will function but also be visually stunning. Having an architect's hand in a project really is the key to its success. We never felt pushed or pressured but simply aided in the design process. Brad also got our drawings done much faster than normal because we were in a time crunch to beat the winter frost for laying the foundation. We highly recommend Brad and so glad to have met him!

We hired DeMotte Architects to work on the reconstruction of our home in Rye which was badly damaged during Tropical Storm Ida in September, 2021. The project was quite complex and involved lifting the 100 year old house several feet, adding several structural additions and reconfiguring the layout of the first floor. In fact, the project was so complex that several contractors we met with were clearly not interested in taking on the challenge. From the first time we met with Brad we felt totally at ease with him. Beside the cost of the project, we were particularly concerned about the post-renovation "curb appeal" of the house given how tall the house would be. Brad designed a front porch and incorporated other elements which he assured us would look great when complete. He was right! Brad was extremely patient throughout the design phase, incorporating our wants into his design and always quick to point out pros and cons in a clear and concise way. During construction, Brad remained involved, performing inspections of the work to date whenever we were presented with a progress billing from our general contractor. These inspections were often performed by Brad on short notice and he was quick to provide his written observations concerning the work, which was invaluable to us for peace of mind. In short, Brad is an experienced, consummate professional in his field who is skilled at what he does and is a pleasure to work with.

We had a terrific experience with DeMotte Architects. We did an extensive renovation on a lake house. Brad’s guidance and professionalism were top-notch. He had creative ideas, was an excellent problem solver and the finished product was fantastic. Brad had a challenging job dealing with permits and strict waterfront regulations that we could have never sorted out. He was patient and built a great rapport with the town’s municipal offices. His team was dependable and conscious which was especially important because we were not local to assist with last-minute decisions. We will use them for future work and highly recommend them!

We used Brad as our architect on a large home renovation. It was our first major project like this, and Brad was both professional and patient as we learned how to navigate the design process. We already had a pretty good idea of what we wanted, and Brad did an excellent job taking that “napkin” sketch, turning it into draft plans, and eventually detailed construction drawings. Each step of the way, he solicited our feedback, explained why things weren’t possible and offered alternatives that he thought could work for the space. The process was smooth and methodical. We never felt rushed, and always felt like we were in good hands.

We retained Brad once the construction started to check in and sign off on progress before invoices were paid. This ensured that what was built matched what was captured in the detailed plans. He worked directly with the general contractor to answer questions and fix issues as they came up. Not everything went according to plan once the construction started, and having him reviewing the work regularly meant that decisions were discussed before they got made, rather than many steps down the road.

We would definitely use Brad again, and highly recommend him for anyone looking for a renovation no matter how small or large.
