By far one of the best places I have rented from! The staff is very responsive, and the apartment was very nice. They even occasionally host fun community events! The management and maintenance are very nice, I would definitely rent from them again if I ever move back to the area!

UPDATE: I previously had left a 5 star review, and it didn’t feel right to not leave an update as I leave the complex only 3 months later. This place looks pretty on the outside, but POOR management and very cheap renovations have quickly made this place a nightmare. From a homeless man LITERALLY sleeping on the stairwell because residents leave the building doors open, paper thin walls with incredibly obnoxious neighbors, this place is not fit for any sane person. My sink has flood the kitchen 4 times due to loose pipes because whoever constructed these places did at horrendously terrible job. My dishwasher broke and I literally had to fix it myself because my maintenance request went unresponded to. Oh and “maintenance” comes around for “apartment checks” in which they enter your personal door code and enter UNANNOUNCED. Two men barged into my apartment while I was home and when asked what they needed, said they were just doing apartment checks and scurried off super quick. Very strange and as a woman living alone, alarming to know that they have your code and can enter your apartment at anytime without notice. The leasing portal is a joke and half of the time makes it almost impossible to pay rent due to you being unable to add any payment method that is not money gram. This place is a joke, they care about money and that’s it, they don’t care about the quality of living one bit. I gave this place the benefit of the doubt and ignored the poor reviews. Believe those negative reviews because they are accurate. I was naive and moved from out of state, this place is predatory. Go somewhere management actually values your life and safety, this place serious couldn’t care less about its tenants.

It’s my first month at the Cadence and I absolutely love it! I’m 22, and new to the state and was very concerned about living in a safe and welcoming environment, but also one with a luxurious feel. Bailey and Shannon at the leasing office are incredibly helpful and always address any concerns I may have very promptly. The apartments themselves are beautiful. I live in Encore, a 2 bed 1 bath and let me tell you the pictures do not do it justice. It feels so much bigger in there than I would have thought. My one and only gripe is the walls are relatively thin, my downstairs neighbors are very very loud at times. As far as safety goes, I haven’t had any issues so far and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. I wanted to leave an unbiased review as a single female for anyone looking to live here. I can’t see myself moving for a very long time!

My boyfriend and I lived here for a year, and we were counting down the days to move out.

On our first day, we began noticing the horrible build quality in the unit and around the building. For instance, there were thick pipes going through a kitchen cabinet, enough so I couldn't use it. The shower head was too low for him, and after talking to maintenance they wouldn't fix it. We ended up buying our own so he could be comfortable. One of our closets collapsed as soon as we began putting hangers on it. Our kitchen sink had one temperature, scalding. Also, the floors and walla are soooo thin, it was uncomfortable to say the least.

They use security as a selling point, but don't allow them to enter the buildings in the event of an emergency. There were several months we complained about the outside locks being disabled, and it wasn't until I saw a random man sleeping outside our top floor apartment door that it got fixed. The laundry rooms where we had to pay for laundry were filthy all the time, dirt, dog pee, beer cans, ashes. There were full grown roaches swarming each entrance all summer, and they didn't care!

By the time we moved out, there was only one other tenant in the building everyone else had moved out. While there were others in the building, we called the police on one and almost cps on the other.

I moved in to this property December of 2023. It seemed nice at first but it didn't take long for everything to start falling apart. For starters no matter how quiet you try to be when walking you can still here it pretty well. There is little to no sound deadening between apartments. The ac unit is also extremely noisy and due to the insulation setup runs often, watching tv in the living room is pretty hard because of this. The AC also doesn't evenly cool or heat the rooms if you have doors closed. I will give credit to the maintenance team because they do respond quick but ive had to use it multiple times. However, another issue is the security. When I had moved in they touted 24/7 security guards that roamed the property and were there. Then around july or august. They just disappeared. Called the office multiple times stating this and they swore up and down they were there so I gave up. There are hardly any amenities outside of the apartment, no pool, no gym, no clubhouse, and they make you pay for parking but don't enforce it. In my honest opinion. This place is not worth the price they ask.

I would not trust this property with the safety of your family. These buildings are old, and they do not conduct thorough checks of the plumbing system before assigning you an apartment. On my first day moving in, the old water heater was leaking an unpleasant gas, and the tap water smelled like rotten eggs. I expected issues like that to be resolved before signing a lease and entering. Despite the aged infrastructure, they do not feel it is necessary to replace every old water heater, which can be very dangerous if you don't check for yourself. I expected to move into a unit that was ready for occupancy, but that was not the case. The staff assures you that everything is safe, but they do not truly know and pass the blame on to someone else. Two months of free rent is not worth your safety. Currently there is still a distinct smell when entering my apt

I lived at the Cadence of Newport for a year, but decided to discontinue my lease after that. The leasing agents are kind, but the pricing on these apartments is pretty ridiculous. I lived in a one bedroom apartment that was under 650 square feet, and was paying $1440 a month without including utility fees. I luckily got a year of free parking based off when I signed, but if I were to continue I would've had an extra parking fee of $35 monthly. The parking lot is a surface lot with PLENTY of spaces, so residents should not have to pay for parking. When you live here, you are basically paying a ridiculous price on rent for your apartment alone. The cadence offers no amenities whatsoever. There are plenty of other options in the Newport/downtown Cincinnati area for the same price point that have much more to offer.

Upon moving in, I was given the option to have in unit laundry, which I declined as I was told there would be communal washers/dryers in building. What I wasn't told was that each building had only one washer, and one dryer. Not only this, but residents have to pay a fee of $3.50 for one washing load and $2.25 for one drying load. Theyre small, so often times you need to do multiple loads of laundry at a time which gets expensive. I have preferred giving my money to the Newport laundromat instead, as they have many more machines and are cheaper all together.

The buildings are old, but look super nice when you step inside. However, since they are old I found that I had an issue with insulation problems throughout my year of living here. My front door was not fully sealed, so I put a maintenance request in within my first couple weeks of living here. No one ever came to fix my door, so when it was hot I ran into the issue of my AC continually running and when it was freezing I found that my Duke energy bills were anywhere from $120-$160 for a 625 square foot apartment.

The cadence is in a nice, quiet area and has security to roam the property during the day/night. A few months back, a man who did not live at the complex was able to enter one of the buildings (due to a door that didn't lock and was not fixed for months) and sleep on the top floor, which is unacceptable and should've easily been avoided if the doors had been fixed earlier on.

The apartments are old, and before the Cadence came to be they were apartments that needed tremendous work done to them. I believe that though they look nicer than they did before on the outside/inside, it is still an old apartment building and needs a lot of work done to it. When I moved in cabinets were out of line, and sink/shower faucets were not drilled completely in in my bathroom area. The floors have vinyl over them, which scuff easily and are difficult to clean making them look dirty easily. I ran into the issue of bugs a lot, where I would find lots of spiders that got in through cracks in the wall/doors and even a cockroach on one occasion even though I lived on the top floor and kept my place clean. These apartments are still run down buildings, just with makeup on them. Sunset properties probably would've been better off gutting the entire complex and starting from scratch for the 27 million they bought it for.

Move in was very smooth and the office staff is super nice and responsive to emails. We’ve had a couple maintenance issues - most of which probably just come with moving into a newly renovated property (a couple outlets were out, shelving in closet, etc.) but maintenance is usually out a couple hours after we put in a request and most issues have been fixed same day. Location is great and walkable to so many places like Newport on the Levee and downtown Cincinnati.

My experience today with speaking and touring with Janel was amazing. She explained everything so well. She showed me all the different property apartments amenities. Very clean and quiet community I can definitely see myself living here.
