My mother and I both got our individual house plans from buildmax and we have been extremely pleased.
The design team was very thorough and easy to work with.
Steve has been fantastic throughout the entire process. He has always been available to us be it through text or call.
He is extremely knowledgeable and has been an invaluable help to us every step of the way.
We have appreciated him very much, as well as the rest of the buildmax team.
We are so excited to finish our beautiful, buildmax barndominiums 🙂

All i can say is WOW!
I ordered customized plans from Buildmax not knowing how long it would take. Looking at other companies online it was anywhere up to 90 days, but not with Buildmax. My plans went from my imagination to paper in less than a week, then adjusting small things after that took no time at all. I am so thankful for them being so fast to respond and being transparent throughout the whole design process. I had the pleasure of working with Rashannia, who was wonderful to work with and easy to communicate to throughout the process. I now have my plans in hand and ready to start building thanks to her! This is a great company to do business with and I would definitely recommend them to anybody who is looking to get plans for a barndominium or house, as they will customize it to exactly what you want/need!

We have been working with Steve for a while on a custom plan that we had drawn out on paper. They found a kit plan that was very close to what we wanted and customized it with our details. Steve has been wonderful to work with. He has answered all of our questions and been helpful with any changes that we had. He is very knowledgeable about the process. We look forward to working with Steve and BuildMax to achieve our dream of our finished home.

Buildmax sells an incredible product and Steve is the best. He took great care of us throughout the entire process and was always available to answer questions. When one of our contractors cut the wrong angle on one of the pieces of siding, Steve was able to quickly get us a replacement so that we could continue on with the build. The quality of materials they sent was outstanding, not a single piece of wood was warped or unusable. The contractor who framed our barndo said he had never seen such quality wood on a build.

Tony and his team were great to work with! Fairly priced, very responsive and communicative during the whole process. We came to this company with custom hand drawn plans, and they were able to turn a grid paper sketch into workable, build able plans! We are excited to build our dream house, thanks to Tony and his team.

Anyone needing plans done for a house, Mr. Tony at Build Max was a pleasure to work with. He made adjustments on the plans until I was happy with everything. He was very professional and the work was done in a timely manner. He definitely cares about what people want. I would greatly recommend using Build Max to anyone.

Rating 1 star because we can't rate less. We are not happy at all with trying to work with Buildmax. Everyone seemed super helpful & friendly in the beginning. We bought a floor plan, were told that it included all we needed to take to our county & get the permit so to go ahead and print them. We printed the 3 copies needed costing us a couple hundred $. Then we have our call with the materials dept (pointless call btw as all it really explained was that the plans weren't what we needed and just seemed like he didn't have much info on things) & everything changed for us. The plans apparently weren't what we needed to take to the co despite what we were told by the design dept, & the price of materials for the build was WAY over what we were quoted before we started the process which was why we decided to work with Buildmax. Their 3 depts were not all on the same page & were giving different info. Now our time & some of our very limited budget has been wasted & we will be out even more money in this process as we now have to pay rent where we are, & also a loan payment as we got a loan to help us purchase our barndo with Buildmax & we are now having to start over & cannot even break ground until we can get actual blueprints for our build. We asked for either a full refund on what plans we did get & would just find something else, as we cannot use them for anything at this point without paying more money or the actual engineered blueprints that we can continue on with thru someone else & only got the amount we paid for modifications returned. We have now taken them (since they're already purchased) to another company to have engineered & manufactured. Come to find out they are not at all according to what our county would need as claimed by Buildmax, causing us yet another expense as the engineer has to completely redo them as if starting from scratch. We had hoped it was a great company and the start of something great for us, but turns out for us it was not at all. Buildmax just seems to be a misleading company at this point. Very disappointing.

My husband and I contacted Build Max earlier this year to help us with our new barndo plans. Tony and his designers were great and worked with us on every detail. We couldn’t be happier. Looking forward to breaking ground soon.
