Absolutely love walking my dog there!! I wish people would be more careful with having their dogs on leash or cleaning up after them. Such a beautiful relaxing spot to clear your mind

Head out on this 2.3-mile loop trail near Branford, Connecticut. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 47 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, fishing, and hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are March through January. Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas.

Great hiking spot. We had not been there since the August 2020 tornado. We were awestruck by the destruction. As of November 1, only the blue trail had significant work to be done. And although it’s a challenge, it can be hiked. Just be aware that there are markers missing and lots of big downed trees in the old path. The rest of the trails are nearly clear.

Pretty park around a pond, 5 mins off I-95. Makes for a nice pit stop or a picnic spot. There quite a few drive-off spots if you wanted to park by the road and go for a short stroll. Saw folks with their fishing equipment as well and a few picnickers. Might be a good idea to have a mosquito repellant at hand, there were quite a bugs in the neighborhood. Overall makes for a better spot for rest than a park and ride.

Trails were nice and well marked. People need to pick up after their dogs. Some dog owners are inconsiderate and will let their off leash untrained dog run up to me and my two leashed dogs. I don’t care if your dogs are off leash because yes it is allowed but have some common sense and get control of your dog if you see dogs on leash. Be responsible and respectful. Thanks.

Small recreation area that serves local neighborhoods and those who enjoy fishing, bird watching, and playing in the many streams that intersect with the trails. It can be muddy after rain, snow, or a thaw. Regular hiking boots or sturdy sneakers are good for most parts of the trails.
