Ahlgren Landscaping has a contract with ×××× Street, a contract that not only did they not fulfill during our most recent snowstorm, but you also lied twice. Per contract, following the snowfall, Ahlgren will come back next day by 10am to clear the lot. On the morning of Sunday, February 16th, assumingly Chris Ahlgren verbally informed a tenant that he would be back that day at 1pm as he wanted the freezing rain to stop. When I was provided with that information, I was able to have every car removed from this lot by 1pm. As 1pm passed, so did 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, and so on. He never showed. He then sent an employee to clean our sidewalks and steps at 6pm the same day. I happened to be running an errand when he showed up and I spoke with him. According to him, Chris is the only one who plows, and he didn't know when or if he would come back. He was sent to only shovel. If what he said is true, that Chris is the only one who plows, then my next statement is, it doesn't appear that Chris has the means to fulfill his contracts at such was evident of most recent storm. I told him that he didn't have to shovel, because the city already did the front sidewalk, tenants did the back steps, and my husband did the front ones. Additionally, the yellow salt bucket lids are not accessible to those who have arthritis or joint issues.

The second lie was when I was informed Chris did come back, two days later, however, he couldn't plow because vehicles were in the lot. While that might be plausible to some, it wasn't to me. Why? Well cameras don't lie.

Due to Ahlgren's gross negligence, tenants have fallen on the ice because they failed to fulfill a contract that resulted in the creation of unreasonable risk of harm to another person. Had they fulfilled the contract, had they returned to the lot at 1pm the snow and ice that they fell on would have not been present. Had they acted with slight care or diligence, these tenants would have not fallen.

Relative of mine used the company and an associate worked for them. Both referred me to them because I wanted to see if I could save on fall clean-up from the company I was using. When they finally got back to me after weeks, the price they offered was more than DOUBLE the company I used charged, yet I’ve seen their work and it’s mediocre. Others have told me similar stories about incompetent management taking weeks, even months to respond to calls or emails, possibly bc they have abysmal social skills. Owner is a con artist according to my now former employee friend, does things like inflate mulch amounts by 5 yards, promised one wage to a new hire then secretly paid him $3 an hour less for months, suddenly refuses earned vacation time. Don’t hire this company

I hired them to remove old gardens on my property that I could no longer maintain. They removed all of the old plantings very quickly and cleaned/cleared out the area (including grinding down a large tree stump). They also seeded and hayed the area. Very happy with the results. The guys on the job were friendly and polite. Would highly recommend their services. Thank you so much for the great work.

I just had shoulder surgery and needed my 300’ driveway plowed and salted. Chris did not hesitate to come by the next morning and take care of everything. Very good communication and they show up when they say they will. Professional service and very happy to have them work at our home anytime.

Ahlgren completed the second contracted project at our home and we couldn’t be happier with the process and results. From contact to contracting Chris (owner) was on point and up front with all aspects of the job and the planning.

His crews were very hard working and easy to work with. The project lasted a few days and every evening the crew cleaned up the property before leaving. Chris and crew at Ahlgren exceeded our expectations. Already planning next project knowing I will get fair pricing and a passionate effort from start to finish. I now have used Ahlgren for a hardscape and a landscape project. Impressive results with both.

Would absolutely recommend this company. We had 20 arborvitae‘s planted in our backyard. We also had our entire front and back lawn harley raked and put top soil on followed by hydro seeding. Business is run very professional. Terrie in the front office was always available in answering questions or getting Chris the owner to get back to me. Chris, was on site ensuring job was done right. They were extremely responsive after the job was done as well. Very satisfied.

We are happy with our years of service with Ahlgren’s. The owner always answers our questions promptly. In the many years they have cared for our landscaping we always have consistent teams. We have only had one change of teams which says a lot to us about their employees job satisfaction and retention. Each team has been polite and respectful of our yard and the work is always beautiful. Love having people who take pride in their work taking care of us.

Ahlgren has done a great job of taking care of our condo complex. They provide a range of services from lawn care, to snow plowing and offer reasonable prices. And the crew is very professional!!
