Great educational team! Teachers and their support staff obviously have the children's best interest at heart! They're accommodating and diligent. The office staff, however, are rude to the point of being hostile. Never have I seen secretaries so trumped up on the superficial power they hold over parents and students. If I had to describe their behaivor in one word, it'd be 'spiteful '. How can such a wonderful school abide by this kind of behavior from the people who literally form their first impression?!?!? It's ridiculous and unnecessary. And, they should be stopped.

You know the school is beautiful and the teachers seem great, but Mrs. Guajardo who works the front desk needs a real attitude adjustment. We are into the first week of school and she's already giving parents a bad experience to embark upon. We had read good and bad reviews before this year started about the school and one in particular pertaining to her. You don't really think much of it until you experience it yourself. She is very rude and unprofessional. She was rude to me when I went to the front office with my children. Then later my wife called to ask the school a question. immediately my wife called me explaining Mrs. Guajardo's bad attitude and cutting her off when asking a simple question. If you don't like your job or are having a bad day, that's fine. But as an employee of a school she has no entitlement to be short or disrespectful with any parent. Poor professionalism at its finest sits behind the front desk of this school. She really needs to watch her mannerisms because she is a face of this school. The first person most parents see when they come in. This is why I'm rating this school a 1 star. EVERY EMPLOYEE is a representation for their place of employment. I hope South Hi-Mount elementary keeps this in mind.

My children have attended South High Mount for 5 years, we love the teachers and the community. My only complaint would be the rudeness and non-helpful attitude of the secretary in the office. She will only be of assistance if it fits her mood for the day. Other wise, a GREAT school.

Worse school ever by far!!!! I was nice giving them a two but only because I love the nurse......they honestly don't care about the kids or their education all they do is put them down give them work as if they are in high school all the staff there besides the nurse are just there to get a check sorry but this school is horrible and very racist!!!! I said this due to the people in the front they are the first faces you see and they make you feel as if you don't have ANY reason to be there not welcoming AT ALL!!!! Send your kids somewhere else PLEASE especially if they are any other race besides Hispanic.....I posted a flyer that was sent home from this school and I had to explain to my kids that yes they do care about your college I have no idea why they would say this my kids are 8 and 7 and not Hispanic I can't wait until the year is over.......I can say I have never disliked a school as much as I dislike this one!!!!!!
