We came here during a Valentine’s Day trip & we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Parking was simple enough & free. The Dome itself was pretty warm & cozy even though it was really windy outside. The couch was comfortable. The food was okay, not the worst I’ve had & reasonably priced. Some of the scenes in the Dome were old (from Christmas) but overall, it’s worth giving this place a try!

"The Dome" on the roof of Hi-Lawn DC is an exceptional experience!

The giant dome looks so cool on the roof and inside is a next level immersive projection mapping show with food and drink.

There are a lot of really cool digital art exhibitions in DC right now and this is definitely one of the best and very unique.

100% worth checking out with some friends at night!

My husband and I went for a date nigh to their new pop-up experience “Hi-Dome”. And it was phenomenal! I didn’t exactly know what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations! The ambience, show, staff, and decor were 10/10! If this were a 5-point scale I would’ve given all 5 points. There is a limited menu which is highlighted on the website; but the lobster bisque had all the flavor and no lobster….. A few more options would be nice, but DOESNT take away from The experience!! I would still go Back again and again! We also Greatly appreciate that this winter pop-up Experience, was truly WINTER. We do not celebrate holidays, and we respect that other people do; nevertheless it is so refreshing to go somewhere that wasn’t Christmas themed. I WILL BE RECOMMENDING TO ALL MY FRIENDS!!!!

The Dome Snowglow is a special, holiday popup located in a 50-foot sphere on the rooftop of Hi-Lawn @ Union Market. You have to purchase tickets for either 2, 4 or 6 people, via Resy, for a 90-min winter-themed immersive experience with cocktails and snacks.

I was able to snag tix for 2 on a Mon @ 5:30p. Rumor has it that it’s sold out until January, however, you might be able to get tix or roll the dice and try to walk-in.

When we arrived it seemed as though the elevator wasn’t working and there was a sign saying it was closed. Luckily, we decided to check it out and after walking several flights and opening a closed door, we were happy to find it wasn’t closed. From what I gathered, the staff forgot to pull the closed sign.

The Dome Snowglow popup has only been open for four days, so it is working out some of its kinks.

We were guided directly to our table which felt like a cozy sitting area in a living room. The ceiling featured a variety of winter scenes from the Northern Lights to fireplaces and snow falling in the forest.
There were flocked Christmas trees all around and cozy lounge furniture.

Once you’re seated, you’re treated to a warm dashi broth as an amuse buche.

The cocktail menu is ok, I was thinking that the drinks might look a little more festive looking, but they were just ok. I had a cream de menthe flavored-drink accented with a chocolate truffle.

For appetizers, we ordered the mushroom custard, which was a medley of mushrooms and mushroom mousse with a savory cream custard. A little salty, but quite delicious if you’re a mushroom fan. The charcuterie was great. We also ordered the toast with salmon roe and lardo and crispy prawns. I wasn’t a fan of the lardo on the toast; and while the crispy prawns with cauliflower had a nice flavor, they weren’t anything special.

Our food took a little long to come out, so our waiter was kind enough to comp us shots for the wait, which was nice of him.

The ambience is like a cozy ski chalet and if you can get a reservation, it’s a nice holiday vibe.

Once the 90 mins is up, you’re encouraged to check out the front lounge area, which also has a bar, lounge seating and fun illuminated ski lift.

Depending on the time of your reservation, you can check out Union Market, if it’s still
open.

The Dome Snowglow popup is open through the end of February 2025.

“The Dome Snowglow” was pretty overpriced for what it is. The tent and environment in general felt very cheap. On top of the tickets the pricing for drinks and food were high as well. Some groups of 2 got 4 people seating with wooden structure but some have a tiny bench. Consider how seats are paid for per person idk how they do it. The Dome visuals were neat so that was fun at least.

Snowglo…NO-GO! ❄️🚫

I recently visited Snowglow at Union Market Hi-Lawn with my homegirls for a girls' night out, and let’s just say the experience was far from what’s hyped on social media. What you see online versus what you get in person is like comparing snowflakes to slush. 🌨️➡️💧

First, the prices were astronomical for what was offered. 💸 A friend ordered a drink that tasted like TheraFlu—seriously, it was barely drinkable! 😷🥤 As for the charcuterie board, calling it disappointing is an understatement. It was so tiny, it wouldn’t have satisfied a 5-year-old, let alone adults. 🧀🥖➡️🙄 Then came what they called "prawn shrimp." I think most know prawns to be—large and tasty….these were more like popcorn shrimp. 🍤😑 At least the waiter was honest in describing them, saying, “think popcorn,” but he forgot to mention there’d be more cauliflower than shrimp. 🥦🍤 If I wanted vegetables, I would’ve ordered a salad!

Adding insult to injury, the website promises a heated room, but that was far from the truth. We ended up asking for blankets because it was so cold. 🥶🪵 While the experience is supposed to last 90 minutes, last call came at 60 minutes, and by the 70-minute mark, we were all convinced the heat was turned off to "encourage" us to leave. Talk about “you don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here”! 🕒❄️

The ambiance didn’t deliver the cozy winter magic it promised. For what you pay, you'd expect an unforgettable seasonal escape, but instead, it felt like a poorly staged Instagram trap. 📸✨❌

Save your money and skip this one. Snowglow? More like Snow-NO. ❄️

Review of the Dome at hi lawn. Unless you want to go somewhere to celebrate a birthday and end up having your mom hit on by the 30 or 40 something year-old waiter named Randy all night, way past the point of weird, then I wouldn’t come here. Drinks were fine. Food sucked, and it was way overpriced. The overall atmosphere at the dome was actually cute. But spending as much as we did on basically an Annie’s mac & cheese mix in packet mixed with water being called fondue is insane. And having to pay as much as we did for burnt slice of bread is crazy. I truly do believe that Randy’s behavior was absolutely beyond inappropriate. While, my mom was at first eating it up, it was beyond uncomfortable for me and then did also finally become uncomfortable for her. There was another waitress named Lauryn who for some reason went by Jane and told us that Randy was her Tarzan… okay… didn’t seem like Randy knew that. Especially since his hand ended up on my mom‘s thigh and he kept bringing shots to take with us. Don’t get excited it was rumple mintz… and not to seem like I was a huge party pooper, I know I sound like it, my mom deserves everything great, this was not that and my mom was also not really feeling it at this point and was just trying to have dinner with me. But both Lauryn and Randy came over and ended up spending way too long talking to us to the point that we basically missed our entire dinner. The rest of the staff seems super nice and I’m sure both Randy and Lauren are also very nice. But when we’re paying as much as we did for an experience, it would’ve been great if we were able to have that experience together and I didn’t have to watch my mom get hit on by a 35-45 year-old waiter who basically said that he was looking for a one night stand to my mother in front of me. WEIRD. That was really uncomfortable. And honestly, very unprofessional. I’m sure nobody meant any harm, but I won’t be coming back. Randy please stay away from my mom.
